Quando abbiamo arredato "Melrose", già avevo tonnellate di riviste che scartabellavo in cerca di ispirazioni, e puntualmente ritagliavo e catalogavo. In realtà, allora, più di 7 anni fa, non avevo ancora un mio gusto personale, oscillavo un po' tra i gusti di mamma e i gusti alla moda in quel momento, cercando di capire cosa mi piaceva di più. Devo dire che tutto sommato non sono andata molto lontano dai miei gusti attuali, perché della mia casa cambierei poche cose anche adesso (il letto, il divano e forse il bagno). Ma venendo ad oggi, sicuramente il mio gusto è meglio definito e, più o meno, so cosa mi piace da impazzire e cosa meno in fatto di arredamento. Perché allora non ho mai avuto la testa più confusa di adesso???
A fine anno dovremo cambiare casa, ma prima dobbiamo fare molti lavori di restyling, tra cui anche comprare una cucina nuova. Come la voglio? Aiuto!... L'unico punto fermo che ho in questo momento è che la voglio bianca. Ma lo stile proprio non riesco a definirlo. Prima pensavo liscia liscia senza maniglie, molto lineare. Poi, mi sono innamorata delle tipologie un po' più rustiche e tradizionali (ma non troppo). Poi il classico stile scandinavo che adoro. Insomma, è un vero grattacapo. Ma non voglio sbagliare, uffa!! Sarà la cucina che mi terrò probabilmente per tutta la vita e quindi deve essere quella giusta. Alcune foto che mi ispirano sono queste, ma ce ne sarebbero un milione...

Then I fell in love with a kind of a little 'more rustic and traditional (but yet not too much). Then the classic Scandinavian style that I love. In short, it is a real headache. Se qualcuno volesse dare consigli, è il benvenuto! La nuova casa è una casa singola degli anni '30. La cucina è a piano terra con un apertura sul giardino e il pavimento è in cotto rosso. Grazie a chiunque voglia esprimere la sua opinione!
